Finance Commitee

Mission Statement

"Thus one should regard us: as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Now it is of course required of stewards that they be found trustworthy." (1Corinthians 4:1-2)

Job Description

The Hamakua Coast Catholic Community Finance Commitee is very aware of the fact that the people of the community offer gifts to God through the Church. With a great sense of gratitude for the financial generosity of the community and guided by a strong sense of stewardship, the finance committee makes every effort to use these gifts wisely in light of the faith the community has placed in the committee.

Specifically, the committee, meeting quarterly, will develop the annual budget, monitor the income and expenditures of the parish and mission and insure that all financial practices and policies of the Diocese of Honolulu are followed. Finally, the members of the Finance Commitee will review and either approve or deny fund raising activities that may be proposed by various community clubs or groups.
